This was the first overnight stop for the ancient mail boat and its passengers, having started its journey in Toulouse.  As such, there is a chapel here as well.  It is located on private property on the left bank of the locks.  There were also horse stables, a restaurant, and a place for the mail boat passengers to sleep during the night.
