The Ecluse de l'Aiguille Lock on the Canal Du Midi is the most decorated lock of the entire canal.  It is probable that this lock is the second most visited by tourists; only the nine locks of Beziers are more visited.  The lock keeper, Joël Barthes, has been creating sculptures here since 1992.  First out of wood using a chainsaw, later moving on to recycled-metal sculptures that actually move.
