On the other side of the canal is an archaeological museum called Amphoralis. The Romans created amphorae here as early as 30 BC. These amphorae were used to transport goods all over the Mediterranean by the Romans. The site was used for several centuries. It was excavated in the late 1970's and today it is a small museum.
